General Recommendations
Avoid sore feet. Boots are the most important part! If you have your own ski or snowboard boots we highly recommend bringing them along with you to ensure you have a fantastic riding experience in Japan. We stock the best range of boots on the market but unfortunately you can never guarantee the perfect fit. After all they are “rental boots” !
Equipment exchange (Swap Policy)
We encourage all customers to swap equipment when renting our Premium packages. This means you can change your skis or board to suit the snow conditions. We also provide a waxing service as the snow temperature changes dramatically in Japan, which means we have to change wax compound to suit. Swapping from skis to snowboards and vice versa is also FREE when renting a Premium package, however we cannot hold the gear you are swapping from so keep in mind it might not be available when you wish to swap back. Standard gear is perfect for beginners but can limit progression due to the shape of the ski or board. We recommend using Premium gear so our expert staff can pick the perfect ski or board to help you improve.
Children or adults?
Children’s prices are determined by the size of the equipment required. Skis up to 140 cms in length and snowboards up to 135 cms are considered children’s. Most children under 13 fit into this equipment. Don’t know what skis or ski length you should be ordering? Don’t be too concerned about this… Our SWAP policy allows you to try different skis and sizes (when available). Our staff are experts - they love to give great advise and will recommend the ideal ski or board on any particular day. Half sizes? Boots are generally not available in half sizes. However as we have up to four different brands of boots this means we can utilize the different fits to help find the perfect boot for your child.
Arrival and rental pick-up
Be ready to hit the slopes early the next morning! You can pick up your rental equipment the afternoon / evening before your rental starts with prior permission / notification at no extra charge. We provide a pick up and drop off service and will pick you up from your accommodation on request in our 8 seater van. Just call +81 136-23-0164 to arrange a time. Please call us 20 - 30min prior your desired pick up time so we can arrange a driver.
Loss and Damage policy:
Normal wear and tear accepted on all rental equipment. Misuse of the equipment resulting in a serious damage will incur a repair fee based off our workshop prices less 50%. If the equipment is lost, stolen or can’t be repaired by one of our qualified technicians we will charge the 14day rental rate in YEN as a replacement cost.
Please note: This cover is a FREE level of insurance that most stores worldwide will charge a daily rate for.

Refund and cancellation policy
We cannot provide any refunds if gear is returned early. All cancellations will incur a $50 administration fee and must be made at least 48hrs before the pick up date. All internet bookings must be made within 5 days of the pick up date to guarantee availability.
Merchandise refund and return policy
1. Rhythm Snowsports `Faulty Goods Refund Policy’
1.1 You are entitled to a full refund for items you purchase from Rhythm Snowsports if the item is:
(a) faulty and the fault or defect was not pointed out to you before you purchased it or would not have been apparent to you when you inspected the goods before purchase; or
(b) not ‘of merchantable quality’, meaning that it is not of the quality that you reasonably expected when you purchased it, bearing in mind the way the item was described to you before your purchase and also the price of the item; or
(c) not fit for its purpose, meaning that the item does not do what you reasonably expected it would,
(d) AND you return the item within a reasonable time after purchase and provide Rhythm with proof of purchase, such as your receipt.
1.2 Rhythm Snowsports reserves the right to ask you to demonstrate that you did not cause or create the fault in the item.
1.3 As an alternative Rhythm Snowsports is also happy to provide you with store credit or exchange of item to the equivalent value to the item.
2. Rhythm ‘Change of Mind Policy’
2.1 If you simply change your mind we do offer a refund or exchange of value equivalent to the purchase price for most items provided that:
(a) you return the item within 7 days from the date of purchase; and
(b) the item is unworn and in its original condition; and
(c) all original labels and tickets are attached to the item; and
(d) you provide a Rhythm Snowsports register receipt as proof of purchase
2.2 Sale items cannot be refunded or exchanged.
